When I went to America I had a long list of things I wanted to try. I mean Australia is a place that's influenced by lots of different things, and because most of the show I watch are American I've been exposed to a lot of American style foods. One of them being Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. And yes. We can get them here, but I never bothered, and when I saw them in a 'drug store' (their version of IGA Supermarket) I bought a packet and was deeply dissapointed.
I'm sure there are a lot of people who love them, but I don't like the grainy, almost sand like texture of the peanut butter. Gross.
However, when I was in freezing cold New York I went to a patiserie in Columbus Square and I had a much more delicious version. It was made of dark chocolate and real peanut butter.
And I loved them so much, I wanted to re-create them, but in a much healthier form. So if you're like me and you can't just stop at 1 or 299, then these are perfect for you, because theyre guilt free and super easy to make.
